Plastic Removal Initiative

Addressing the Plastic Pollution Crisis

Champahati Swasthya Mela Welfare Society is sincerely committed to addressing the rapidly growing issue of plastic pollution. Our plastic removal effort is to lessen the environmental impact of plastic trash, conserve wildlife, and encourage sustainable living in our community.

Understanding the Plastic Problem

Global Crisis

Plastic pollution is a global issue, with approximately 8 million tones of plastic entering the oceans each year. This poses a serious risk to marine life, ecosystems, and human health.

Local Impact

In our local area, plastic waste has been found in rivers, streets, and green spaces. This not only harms wildlife but also affects the health and well-being of residents.

According to local municipal data, our community generates approximately 500 kilograms of plastic waste daily.

Waste Generation

Unfortunately, only 9% of plastic waste is recycled, while 79% accumulates in landfills or the natural environment.

Recycling Rates

According to studies, plastic trash kills millions of marine animals each year, including endangered species.

Wildlife Impact

"We have a responsibility to care for our planet. The astonishing amount of plastic waste we produce is one of the most visible indicators of our environmental impact. By taking action now, we can protect our ecosystems and preserve the natural beauty of our world for future generations."
